Amy has been providing therapy for children (ages 8 and up), adolescents and adults since 1995 in a variety of therapeutic settings. Amy has experience working in the areas of sexual abuse trauma and other forms of abuse. She also has experience working with individuals with PTSD. She provides therapy to youth and some adults who have perpetrated sexual abuse. She works with individuals and families that are managing depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, parenting/safety concerns, grief/loss and a number of adjustment issues including adoption and infertility.
Amy collaborates with DHS, C-SARC, IBTSA, Juvenile Court, the 5th Judicial community based sex offender program, Iowa county attorneys offices and Des Moines area psychiatrists in a multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate healthy growth for the individuals and families that she works with.
In addition to these services, she provides consultation services on cases or issues, as well as psychosocial or psychosexual assessments. Amy accepts most private insurances, including Medicaid.
