It will be important for you to take time to contact the plan administrator of your insurance carrier, to review your insurance coverage benefits. Call the 800 number on the back of your insurance card to identify the mental health benefits and limitations available to your specific policy.
As a starting point, these are some of the important questions to consider asking your insurance carrier:
- What is the extent of my mental health coverage?
- Do I need to get pre-authorization for mental health treatment?
- What is the co-pay due at the time of each appointment?
We are dedicated to providing you with the best possible care and we will gladly provide assistance with questions you may have related to your insurance in order to help you receive your maximum allowable benefits.
Please keep in mind, however, that your insurance is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company. Not all services are a covered benefit in all contracts. While the filing of insurance claims is a courtesy that we extend to our patients, all charges are your responsibility from the date the services are rendered.
